well, it's been a week since i got laid off from my job. no tears here, but i am still trying to get things sorted out at home, trying to find a schedule for myself and making the most of the extra time i've been given.
i'm not one of those born-to-be-a-stay-at-home-mom moms. in a way i wish i was because then all of this would come relatively easy to me. i've been working in the office environment since i was 19 years old and that's what i'm used to. i've gotten really used to the structure of office living that i think the only way for me to survive is to duplicate that structure here at home.
i've been very careful to not sit in front of the tv or the computer for all hours of the day, unless there's a definite reason for me to be on there. i'm trying to get my business started, and a great deal of it requires the computer, so that explains my presence online the last few days. i think the biggest thing that distracts me is that i keep thinking about taking a quick vacation. fares are so cheap and i've got nothing but time on my hands.
maybe it's time for me to update some programs on my computer and get the schedule laid out. i'll let you know how it goes.
