so yesterday was my d-day. seems kinda harsh-sounding even though it really wasn't. i got laid off yesterday, from a big software company. i was one of about 3500, so they didn't make me feel so special (i kid). i wasn't surprised at all, and was so prepared that i had my laptop cleaned out before i walked into the office yesterday. they were kind enough to give me system access until friday so i can get the necessary things pushed off to other channels.
hubby still works for the company and we're all still happy and healthy. a minor hiccup in the road of life. some would call me crazy, but knowing that i'm paid until mid-august sure helps take the edge off.
i have a clean slate now, my dreams are waiting to be made into reality. i could go to school, work for another company, work for same company or focus on my love of photography. i'll need a few days to decide, but for now i'm going to enjoy some stress-free living.
i was given a lemon, but i'm gonna make me some lenamade!
ps: i know it says "lenamade" instead of "lemonade". when my baby girl was younger, she couldn't say it properly. in fact, she wanted to make a lemonade stand so she could raise money for me to buy my beloved imac - which of course, i named "lenamade"
